Mission
The Department of Public Services is responsible for the effective, efficient delivery of quality solid waste, snow removal, highway maintenance, and architectural maintenance services within budgetary constraints. The Office of the Director oversees the administration and operation of the various functions performed by the Department, which include accounting and budgeting, computer system administration, human resources and training, and community involvement.

Accounting and Budgeting
Responsible for the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of financial activities including: budget, accounting, strategic planning and performance measures for the Department
Computer System Administration (IT)

Responsible for system, network, and desktop support; strategic planning, and coordination of data, hardware, and software acquisition.
Community Involvement and Departmental Relations

Responsible for the coordination of community involvement, media relations, communications, continuous improvement activities for the Department, employee liaison issues and intradepartmental investigations.
Human Resources

Responsible for all departmental human resource activities, handling of personnel management issues, and compliance with all federal, state, and local employee complaints and statutes.
